Yesterday we linked back up with EGG Edinburgh to host their 5K at Dalkeith Country Park. Once again the bespoke event was created to support the ever-growing women-only EGG community in Edinburgh. Throughout the day there was also yoga down at the Restoration Yard, coffee and cake (mandatory) and entry for the kids in to Fort Douglas. EGG have big things planned so keep an eye out for future events.
A downpour of rain late-afternoon on Saturday turned parts of the course in to a mud-bath but the weather held out on Sunday morning with warmish temperatures, light wind and, shock-horror, sunshine. Well done to Jenny Cusiter who came in first in a time of 25: 54 and to the rest of the field, some of who were running a 5K for the first time.
