Think you know Run the Blades? Try again. At just over a 10K (10.4K to be exact) don’t expect this to be easy as you run the trails with the turbine blades sweeping out of sight above your head.
Back for a fourth year, Run the Blades – the Night One, where runners take to the trails in the dark with the route lit only by glow sticks and the strength of their own head torch.
Held within the UK’s largest onshore wind farm, ScottishPower Renewables’ Whitelee Wind Farm, just a 20 minute drive from the centre of Glasgow.
Bring your head torch and a sense of adventure.

Registration for the race will take place in the Event Village at Turbine 53 (same place as the main RTB)
Time
The race starts at 1930 hours with registration opening from 1700 hours.
Parking
Designated parking is available at the Visitor Centre.
Mandatory Kit
Mobile phone (to call the Race Director) in case of emergency, head torch, clothing suitable for running in Scotland in autumn (use common sense).
Checkpoints
One: at the 5K mark.
