How Overseas Charity Treks Work
Charities can work with Breaking Strain in two ways.
Join an Existing Trek
Charities can take places on one of our scheduled overseas treks, allowing supporters to join an existing event alongside other participants. This is a simple and flexible way to offer fundraising challenges within an established event.
Create a Bespoke Charity Trek
Charities can commission their own trek designed specifically for their supporters or partners. A bespoke trek allows you to shape the destination, group size and fundraising objectives, creating a challenge that is unique to your organisation.

What's included in the Trek?
Flights & transfers
Return flights from the UK and all in-country transfers are included. From arrival to departure, we handle the logistics so you can focus on the challenge ahead.
Accommodation
Accommodation varies depending on the destination and nature of the trek. This may include quality hotels, mountain refuges or expedition-style camping. Full details are provided within each specific trek itinerary.
Final night
After the challenge is complete, most treks include a final night in comfortable accommodation. A chance to rest, celebrate and properly reflect on what you’ve just achieved. See individual trek pages for exact details.

All meals are provided on non-travel days. On the trail, meals are tailored to the environment and challenge, ensuring you are well fuelled and looked after throughout the expedition.
