Travel Insurance

You are recommended to purchase travel insurance at the time of, or shortly after, booking. You are responsible for ensuring that all activities you undertake during the trip are covered by your insurance policy including trekking to 6000 metres. This policy should also include a force majeure extension. If you have an insurance policy provided by your bank you may need to provide your account number and sort code instead of a policy number - contact your insurance provider for details.

Covid-19

Breaking Strain shall inform all Participants of the Covid-19 entry requirements for entry to Tanzania at the earliest opportunity. This may include the need for an up-to-date Covid-19 vaccine, negative RT-PCR Covid-19 test prior to travel and a negative test prior to return travel to the UK. Where this is the case, the Participant is responsible for any costs associated with this.

Upon receipt of the entry requirements, Participants will have 14 days to withdraw and receive a full refund. Once the 14 days expire, you will automatically continue with the Service Provider’s normal cancellation terms and conditions.

Vaccinations & visas

Entry to Tanzania requires a valid visa. This can be obtained from the Tanzanian High Commission in London in advance of the trip. It is also recommended that you get certain vaccinations before travelling - these will be detailed at the time of sign up.
